Emily Blake

Emily Blake is more than a soldier — she is the mind that bridges humanity and the abyss. Born on an artificial world and forged in the chaos of the Fifth Wave, Emily rose to become the foremost Cybernetic Specialist of Base 42.

Megan Blake

Megan serves as the field specialist who accompanies Emily during several key moments of the campaign. Thanks to the nanotechnology she developed herself, Megan is able to analyse the environment, detect traces of enemy nanoparticles, and anticipate ambushes.

Razen Evin

A veteran of the 3rd and 4th Wave, he has witnessed entire colonies vanish into the silence of space — and carries each loss like a scar that keeps him moving forward. He now serves as the captain of Selene Base’s Advanced Defence Units.

Koutetsu Grow

Koutetsu Grow is not merely the final enemy of Sky Nexus — he is the very reason the war began. Forged within a living laboratory at the core of the Vesta asteroid, Grow is the first truly perfect hybrid between biological matter and interdimensional technology. His body is a fusion of organic metal, circuits that breathe, and muscles capable of regenerating within seconds.

NanoRector 9 - It is simply Emily’s basic weapon — the starting point of all her combat power. Designed to never fail, the NanoRector 9 features infinite ammunition.

Tri-Shot - It fires three cone-shaped projectiles, covering a wider area and hitting multiple nearby enemies.

PlasmaBeam - The PlasmaBeam releases an uninterrupted stream of super-ionised energy, capable of tearing through armour and disintegrating living matter within seconds. While active, the beam maintains its maximum intensity.

Raptor-3 - An experimental launcher engineered for total supremacy in open-field combat. The system deploys three missiles that strike simultaneously, forming a destructive swarm that surges forward at high speed.

Raptor-Lock - Each missile slices through the air at extreme speed, tracking enemy movements with precision. A weapon designed not just to attack… but to ensure nothing escapes alive.

FlameBurst - Releases a continuous stream of scorching flames, burning everything in its path. It uses an animated model instead of a particle system to deliver a more intense and visceral effect.

Overload 4 - Fires four incandescent projectiles per click, reaching up to eleven units of distance on the field. Each shot unleashes a searing beam of energy that cuts through the air with precision and impact.

Viper-M - A launcher featuring advanced homing missiles that track targets with precision. Each shot releases projectiles with a moderate firing rate, but equipped with pursuit intelligence — capable of striking even those who attempt to flee the battlefield.

Concept

In the year 5605, humanity survives on an artificial planet known as SELENE, after centuries of interplanetary wars and cosmic collapses. The vital energy that drives the universe — Nanoparticles — has become the most coveted resource among civilisations.

However, upon reaching the cracked surface of Vesta, Emily realises that enemy forces have already begun manipulating the gravitational core. Biomechanical creatures patrol every sector, and time itself seems to warp around her…

Beginning – 5th Wave

Decades after the collapse of the ancient human colonies, an event known as the 5th Wave changed the fate of the galaxy. Two Gravitational Singularities collided, opening a dimensional vortex from which biomechanical creatures emerged, carrying an unknown form of technology.

From that moment on, the fabric of space-time was never the same again. Entire regions began to suffer chronic distortions, where gravity fluctuated like a living tide and fragments of parallel realities briefly overlapped.

Middle

When signs of dimensional activity are detected on Asteroid Vesta, Emily is summoned by Commander Raze Evin, a veteran survivor of the 4th Wave. The mission: prevent Koutetsu Mobile, leader of the alien fleet, from reactivating the temporal vortex.

Long-range sensors detect gravitational fluctuations identical to those recorded moments before the fall of the Helion Prime colonies.

Climax — The Confrontation with Koutetsu Grow

After crossing cosmic ruins and alien biolaboratories, Emily reaches the heart of Vesta, a suspended city carved within the living rock of the asteroid. There, she faces the colossus Koutetsu Mobile, an entity that blends flesh, iron, and dark energy.

The air around her vibrates as if every molecule were trying to flee the place. Gravity twists into invisible whirlwinds, making fragments of stone float and collide slowly, creating an echo that seems to come from another Era.

Final

Exhausted, Emily returns to the ship. The explosion of Vesta releases a colossal wave of Nanoparticles, which spreads across the entire sector of space. Civilisations 45,000 km away absorb the energy — and with it, a fragment of the temporal propulsion system that had been activated moments before the destruction.

For a few seconds, everything seems to stabilise… But then, something impossible happens…

Satori  (悟り)

Satori is the oldest drone in the Companion Programme and acts as a logical extension of Emily’s mind. It analyses energy fields, predicts enemy routes, and calculates survival probabilities in nanoseconds. It speaks little — but when Satori issues an alert, it means something truly dangerous is about to happen.

Inori (祈り)

Balanced, protective, and attuned to the biological state of the team. Inori monitors vital signs, body temperature, and Emily’s nanoparticle flow following the Vesta incident. In addition to generating defensive fields, it reacts emotionally to danger: its light intensifies whenever Emily is wounded or low on energy. It is considered the “heart” of the Companions.

Kagero (陽炎)

Silent, discreet, and lethal. Kagero was engineered for infiltration and rapid close-range strikes. Its temporal camouflage emitters allow it to distort its presence for fractions of a second — long enough to neutralise enemies attempting to flank Emily. It is the most aggressive of the group, always hunting the next threat.

Hikari (光)

Lightweight, fast, and ever-radiant. Hikari was designed to navigate unstable environments, illuminating paths and revealing hidden threats. It emits photonic pulses that restore part of Emily’s weapon sensors, acting almost like a guiding beam in dead zones. Its behaviour resembles that of a small, curious guardian.

Creator of Sky Nexus

My name is Augusto. I developed this universe inspired by the vastness of possibilities hidden within the secrets of the incomprehensible. The immensity of the cosmos fascinates me. I enjoy reading philosophy — among many authors, I prefer Socrates and Plato; George Orwell and Franz Kafka are also favourites of mine. My dream is to achieve several small dreams. And life, though eternal and unfathomable, is something that deserves to be lived.
